Accommodation

Accommodation in the Eco Valley for the Riba Rocks festival is available to all weekend ticket holders.  Our festival guests either hire or bring their own tents to stay amongst the olive trees. We support Love Your Tent, ‘a new campaign created by Eco Action Partnership and in association with A Greener Festival designed to bond people with their portable homes, and encourage them to re-use instead of discard’. Remember you will need bedding, torches, insect repellent and sun tan lotion.

There are outdoor washing/solar shower facilities however please try to use water sparingly, we are not on mains supply, all our water falls from the sky and that doesn’t happen very often here. Waterless toilets are located throughout the festival site and The Main Stage.

There will be recycling and general waste bins throughout the site, so please keep the valley clear of rubbish as we are in a fire risk area. There will be sand buckets for cigarette ends.

As we’re sure our guests will agree, staying in La Vall is part of the overall experience of the Riba Rocks festival. It offers you a taste of ‘off-grid living’ and it also creates a wonderful community vibe. We are a great advocate of ‘small is beautiful’, you’ll have room to pitch your tent, room to dance and no long queues, you’ll have room to glamp it up too!

Food & Drink

Most importantly, the Riba Rocks festival is completely ‘plastic free’.‬ There are no disposable plastic cups. Instead special Riba Rocks printed reusable cups are available to purchase at the Riba Rocks bar which you use all weekend and take home with you. You will also have your tea or coffee in ‪‎served in compostable‬ cups from Enviropack and all your food is served on compostable plates or napkins. Even the forks are compostable, made from starch.

There is a paid bar at the Riba Rocks festival which is integral to the financial sustainability of the event. Drinks are priced very reasonably in line with the local bars and restaurants.

We know how important food is! Our Riba Rocks festival kitchen serves homemade, vegetarian and vegan food with gluten free options too including veggie burgers, falafel, cookies, pizzas, salads, fruits and much, much more.

The Eco Valley has an orchard comprising cherries, peaches, walnuts, figs and almonds and also an organic vegetable plot. Our soil improvement has been helped by the contents of the festival compost toilets and the ash bi-product of winter heating. We also serve our very own preserved olives and olive oil, which is used in all our cooking and dressings.

At the Riba Rocks festival, waste separation is so important to us and we are so happy when we see our festival goers making the effort to separate waste. This means we can use the plates, cups and forks on our compost heaps, allow them to rot down during the year and then use the compost to continue to improve the soil.
