La Vall
La Vall art residency is open for submissions from creative practitioners of any discipline from visual artists to performing artists, writers, musicians and poets. La Vall is an Eco Valley olive farm in the hills of rural Catalunya, Spain and offers artists the space, time, freedom, flexibility and most of all superior light quality to undertake their research, investigation, land based installations, performance based work, sculpture, painting, drawing or film making.
Facilities for artists are basic, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the natural environment. La Vall residency is a relaxed and flexible environment where personal and professional development is encouraged within this inspiring natural environment. Upon completion of each artist residency, an artwork or performance will be exhibited either temporarily in exhibition or permanently installed either in the Eco Valley or the nearby village of Riba-roja d’Ebre.
Basic woodworking workshop and tools are available as well as a casting/sculpture area. A generator is used for heavy tools to avoid putting pressure on the solar system. There is internet connection available via satelite and access to a co-working centre in the village which boasts very high speed connection for uploading/downloading requirements.
